Unveiling the Chopard and Italian Studio Zagato Collaboration: Zagato Lab One Concept Timepiece

Published: 02 Feb 2026
Immerse yourself in the refined world of conceptual timepieces with Chopard’s Zagato Lab One Concept, an embodiment of craftsmanship and innovation.

The Zagato Lab One Concept timepiece is Chopard’s latest thrilling endeavour, sculpted in collaboration with Italian design studio Zagato. As the third project between these two creative giants, this watch is a beautiful fusion of fine watchmaking and automobile design. It borrows elements from concept cars, showcasing a tubular architecture reminiscent of a race car chassis. One of the most fascinating features is the replacement of traditional lugs with self-locking tubular loops that pivot up to 45 degrees, ensuring an astonishingly comfortable fit. Encased in lightweight anthracite-colored ceramized titanium for exceptional strength and hardness, this 42 mm x 11.5 mm timepiece weighs a mere 43.2 grams, including the strap.

The limited-edition timepiece, retailing at $170,000, is available in just 19 pieces, paying homage to the founding date of Zagato on April 19, 1919. Each edition is presented with two straps and a pin buckle, rounding off a breathtaking encapsulation of high-performance motor expertise and unparalleled horological craftsmanship. While time setting is a tad challenging due its lack of indices marking the hour, its clean, sporty design and power reserve indicator make it a timeless marvel to behold.
