Making Marks with Maurice De Mauriac's Tennis-Inspired Rallymaster IV & Omega's Winter Gem -The Milano Cortina Edition

The tennis courts and the winter games find their spirit embodied in two distinct timepiece releases by Maurice de Mauriac and Omega respectively.

As the Australian Open unfolds, Zurich-based brand Maurice de Mauriac served up the highly anticipated last edition of the Rallymaster series, in collaboration with U.S.-based tennis and lifestyle brand Racquet. The Rallymaster IV watch brilliantly encapsulates Carlton DeWoody’s love for tennis, design, and vintage collections. Its bold divergence from traditional tennis colors to a radical hipster black dial motif set within a brushed stainless steel case, coated in PVD, heralds a gutsy shift in design aesthetics. Splashes of pink, aqua, and navy accents against the black and white net motif subdial thrust one into the heart of an intense tennis match.

On another corner of the sports universe, Omega has volleyed its homage to the forthcoming Winter Olympic Games in northern Italy. It released the Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina Edition, a counterpart to the 38mm automatic Speedmaster and a 37mm Moonshine Gold vintage-style Seamaster. Except, this timepiece is distinguished by its frosty look that sees a blend of white ceramic and titanium components. The silhouette of Seamaster 300M retains its classic familiarity, but the incorporation of ceramic-and-titanium grants a broadened wrist presence, measuring 43.5mm in diameter and 14.37mm thick.

Both timepieces from Maurice de Mauriac and Omega affirm that when it comes to blending sport and elegance in horology, the game indeed is ever on.
