Rado astounds with the mechanical splendour of the Anatom Skeleton’s futuristic plasma ceramic finish.

Published: 16 Jan 2026
Rado, known for divergent case designs and resilient materials, introduces the new Anatom Skeleton showcasing the full anatomy of its calibre.

Operating under the sobriquet ‘Master of Materials’, Rado boasts a notable legacy in creating innovative, durable material designs intended to endure life’s myriad demands. A flagship offering of Rado, the Anatom, known for its distinct rectangular case, was first introduced in 1983 with a proprietary Hardmetal case complemented by a fluid design form and striking convex sapphire crystal.

Fast forward several decades and the Anatom has been extravagantly revitalized in the form of the Anatom Skeleton for its 40th birthday. The revamp took on an advanced ceramic guise one year prior with the incorporation of ceramic bracelets. Now, the Anatom Skeleton humbly uncovers its unique design anatomy, offering a comprehensive view of calibre R808.

To complete the experience, the new Anatom Skeleton model pairs the cool, pearlescent plasma ceramic with a soft, grey rubber strap, ensuring a comforting feel. The watch case, designed to hug the wrist, measures 32.5mm across, 46.3mm long, and 11.5mm high. Further enhancing its allure, the dial is veiled by a cylindrical sapphire crystal with a grey metallised edge that merges seamlessly into the architecture of the timepiece.

The design of the Anatom stays true to Rado’s tradition of skeletonisation by revealing the entire mechanical segments of calibre R808 including the balance wheel, wheel train, keyless work of the crown, the barrel, and mainspring. All these details are decked in grey hues, punctuated by contrastingly hued cogs and wheels.

Rado’s Anatom Skeleton is a remarkable fusion of material innovation and intricate skeletonisation, deviating from the norm while staying true to its roots. This striking timepiece serves as a testament to Rado’s aesthetic and technical prowess and ensures a memorable, long-lasting impression.
