Omega Begins the Year with a Bang, Unveils New 'Reverse Panda' Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

Stealing the spotlight, Omega ushers in the year with a pair of irresistibly sleek 'Reverse Panda' Speedmaster Moonwatches.

Omega beats the drum of innovation once again with the unveiling of its latest iteration, the ‘Reverse Panda’ Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. Raising the bar in the realm of horology, the esteemed Swiss watchmaker kick-started the year with a strong show of sleek sophistication.

At first glance, the ‘Reverse Panda’ is an epitome of class, sporting a visually captivating black and white dial. Omega refers to this compelling colour contrast as the ‘inverted dial’. Moreover, the ‘Reverse Panda’ comes with two options - a sturdy stainless steel model retailing at $10,400, and a premium version in 18K ‘Moonshine’ gold, priced at an imposing $49,300.

As for the technical aspects, the watch keeps its broadly appealing dimensions of 42 mm x 13.54 mm, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 47.5 mm. It packs a weight of 142 grams and is powered by Omega’s flawless Master Chronometer caliber 3861. This manually wound engine is housed beneath a domed sapphire crystal on the front and is visible through a flat sapphire crystal on the case back.

However, the increased price tag does raise questions on value, especially in comparison to the standard Hesalite Moonwatch, which markets at $7,800, the Sapphire Sandwich with a price of $9,000, and the chic Daniel Craig white-dial Speedmaster that retails for $9,100. Despite the increased price, Omega’s loyal followers may still find the premium justified for its irresistible charm and exclusive features.
