Omega Reveals Strikingly Updated Speedmaster Moonwatch “Reverse Panda: Elevating Luxury Watch Game

Published: 13 Jan 2026
Omega, the Swiss cornerstone for luxury watches, kicks off the year with the release of the stunningly updated “Reverse Panda” Speedmaster.

Omega, renowned for the intricate craftsmanship in dial execution, has ushered in a sophisticated update to their classic Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, with two new models. Presenting an intricate play of tones, the introduction of the “Reverse Panda” dials enriches the timepiece with a captivating aesthetic. The first model sports an elegant stainless steel body, priced at $10,400, while the second version shines in 18K Moonshine gold and comes with a hefty price tag of $49,300.

Both versions of the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional “Reverse Panda” have been enhanced with a handful of refreshing elements including a fresh bezel insert, a newly styled dial and the same popular case, bracelet, and movement which characterised its predecessors. The charm of the Reverse Panda design is conveyed through the texture and sheen of the polished black dial, bolstered by varnished and lacquered finishes, and complemented by the rhodium-plated subdial frames.

Ever a mark of precision, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional retains its pleasing proportions measuring at a comfortable 42mm x 13.54mm, with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug dimension. The watch continues to be powered by the renowned 3Hz manually wound Master Chronometer caliber 3861, sealing the hybrid of beauty and functionality. Attaining to its brand ethos of leading innovation, Omega once again showcases an exciting evolution in the world of luxury watches. Yet, given the steep price, consumers are left to contemplate if the aesthetic enhancements justify the increase from the standard models.
