Unveiling the Moritz Grossmann Perpetual Calendar: A Symbiosis of Classical Restraint and Poetic Precision

Published: 08 Jan 2026
Moritz Grossmann excel in intricate timekeeping creations, and their newly-unveiled Perpetual Calendar is yet another testament to this. Delve into a review of design, luxury and precision.

A watch from Moritz Grossmann is as much a tactile encounter as it is visual. The timepieces inspire a deeper connection through touch, balance, and rhythm. Revived by Christine Hutter in 2008, the distinguished Glashütte-based manufacture has been crafting elegant watches marked by fine classical restraint and something akin to poetic precision. To commemorate its 17th anniversary, Moritz Grossmann launched the Perpetual Calendar, an amalgamation of enduring mechanics and sensual design.

In hand, the watch exudes a sense of heritage as if smoothed by generations of wear. The proportions are robust yet balanced, with a diameter of 41mm and thickness of 13.9mm. Rose gold models exude a warmth matched by an unexpected weightiness for the platinum editions. The fluted winding crown and small pusher at 4 o’clock, part of Moritz Grossmann’s ingenious winder system, offer a tactile element through which the wearer can feel the finely crafted mechanics.
