Oris Captivates with the Power, Speed, and Confidence of 'Year of the Fire Horse' Themed Watch

The world is preparing to welcome the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse on 17 February 2026, and Oris is marking this occasion with a limited edition model. Reflective of the Fire Horse’s powerful symbolism, the 43mm stainless steel model showcases speed and exudes grace. This special piece is equipped with Oris’s calibre 113, a superior, advanced hand-wound movement that provides a generous 10-day power reserve. It also includes a comprehensive business calendar indicating the day, date, week, and month, a feature recently introduced in the Big Crown Business Calendar.

A distinct detail that draws attention is the two recessed sub-dials at 9 and 3 o’clock. Their gradient effect transitions from a lighter centre to a dark wine colour at the boundary, further emphasizing their sophisticated glow. Oris has infused a sense of playfulness to indicate the power reserve with two pink horses. A galloping horse signifies a full 10-day reserve, while a resting horse indicates the watch requires winding. This creative and patented countdown gauge is managed by a worm gear, an exclusive Oris development.

A notable feature is the proprietary calibre 113, a member of the Oris calibre 100 series, launched for the brand’s 110th anniversary in 2014. The calibre 113 was designed with a business calendar to serve as a practical, everyday companion. Displayed in a prominent stainless steel case that spans 43mm in diameter and with a lug-to-lug width of 50.5mm, this model ensures that all calendar functions are visible and have sufficient clearance on the dial. It is fitted with a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal and is water-resistant up to 50 metres. The functions can be conveniently managed via the crown, without any fiddly correctors in the caseband.
