Kurono Tokyo Uncovers Unique 37mm Inseki Watches in Special Projects Collection
Having celebrated its founder’s 60th anniversary with various impressive new models last year, Kurono Tokyo is showing no signs of slowing down. Entering the New Year with gusto, the independent and popular brand gives a sneak peek into its ‘special projects’ collection by introducing the 2026 Special Projects 37mm Inseki. Characterized by an intriguing grey Muonionalusta meteorite dial, this new offering showcases the brand’s sartorial prowess and the direction it might take in souvenirs to celebrate Hajime Asaoka, the founder.
The first Kurono timepiece of 2026 stands at a compact 37mm in diameter and 11.5mm thickness, mainly due to the imposing box-shaped crystal on top. The full steel case impresses with a high polish and a hint of a black cabochon on the crown, a trend in many recent brand models. The dial, undoubtedly the star of the piece, features a patterned centre. This is heightened by a white lacquered ring that boasts the personal stylings of Hajime Asaoka’s Calligra typeface and the monochromatic look finished with hand-bent high-polished steel hands. This meticulously crafted timepiece is the perfect embodiment of Kurono Tokyo’s design prowess and dedication to the art of watchmaking, setting the pace for future releases in 2026.
