Under the Magnifying Glass: Voutilainen 216TMZ Worldtime, a Masterpiece of Finnish Watchmaking Excellence
Kari Voutilainen, a celebrated Finnish watchmaker, recently unveiled his latest work of art, the Voutilainen 216TMZ Worldtime. Operating from an atelier in Motiers since 2002, Voutilainen has built a reputation for crafting high-end timepieces that flaunt in-house movements and intricately hand-guilloché dials.
The stainless steel 216TMZ Worldtime, the latest addition to his esteemed collection, underscores user-friendly convenience without compromising on aesthetics. Radiating a classic round silhouette, this timepiece has been designed to display time across 24 different zones and is partially customizable. True to Voutilainen’s signature style, it features a 39mm stainless steel case punctuated by elegant tear-drop-shaped lugs and sparkling polished finishes.
Powering this watch is the in-house manual-winding calibre 216TMZ, integrated with a world time complication and two escapement wheels. The double escapement provides direct impulse to the balance wheel, ensuring improved stability and a longer power reserve of up to 65 hours. The hand-decorated German silver mainplate and bridges exude perfection while the solid rose gold wheels add to the charm of this magnificent timepiece.
