Back with a Twist: The Girard-Perregaux Bridges Cosmos Returns as a Unique, Unparalleled Timepiece

Published: 18 Dec 2025
First introduced in 2019, the Girard-Perregaux Bridges Cosmos soars back into the limelight, now reimagined using groundbreaking materials and refined designs.

Upon its debut in 2019, the Girard-Perregaux Bridges Cosmos captivated watch enthusiasts with its enveloping allure, marrying the celestial with the terrestrial in an act of horologic genius. The piece offered an emotional and physical bridge, celebrating the brand’s signature tourbillon setup while adding rotating globes that display sidereal and civil time – a veritable microcosm on your wrist.

In a testament to its relentless innovation, Girard-Perregaux revisited and reimagined the Bridges Cosmos in 2025, breathing new life into its narrative using fresh materials and redefining its surface treatments. The Bridges Cosmos Unique Piece retained the original’s construction, complications, and in-house calibre GP09320 movement but its new aesthetic overhaul turned the timepiece into an unparalleled work of art.

The dial stays true to the original’s distinctive personality but adds a touch of luxury with a two-part construction: a base of Tahitian mother-of-pearl topped with translucent blue aventurine. The globes are sculpted from titanium, undergoing laser oxidation for texture and lume treatment for blue emission in the dark. Meanwhile, time can be read from the sophisticated black sandblasted dial at 12 o’clock, compounded with a sunray-brushed outer ring, white-gold markers, and dauphine hands filled with blue Super-LumiNova.

No stone has been left unturned with this celestial masterpiece that weaves together horology’s finest elements, promising to inspire and delight watch enthusiasts for centenaries to come.
