Swiss Watchmaker Armin Strom Adds New Vibrancy to Gravity Equal Force Series with Ultimate Sapphire Salmon

Published: 13 Dec 2025
Armin Strom expands its renowned Gravity Equal Force series with the introduction of the Ultimate Sapphire Salmon, showcasing a new zest of colour and transparency.

Armin Strom continues to rewrite the rules of modern horology with the latest addition to their celebrated Gravity Equal Force series. The Ultimate Sapphire Salmon beautifully combines colour and transparency in an elegant twist, breaching new frontiers of horological design innovation.

Founded in 1967 and revitalised in 2009 by Serge Michel and master watchmaker Claude Greisler, Armin Strom gains renown for its striking designs where every element of a fine timepiece is seen, understood, and appreciated. Its System 78 collection, named for the shared birth year of the partners, signifies the brand’s commitment to making uncompromising innovation accessible to independent horology collectors.

Entering the scene in a blaze of colour, the new Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Salmon edition adds a new dimension to this captivating series. Retaining the familiar 41mm stainless steel case and measuring 12.65mm in height, it embodies the brand’s signature lip at 6 o’clock. The salmon-coloured PVD mainplate intricately guillocheed in a delicate barley grain pattern by Kari Voutilainen gives this new model its name. The watch’s architecture unfolds like a mechanical landscape: the micro-rotor at one o’clock, the equal-force barrel at five, and the gear train connecting the two. The grey-toned sapphire time dial, integrated with small seconds, is complemented by rhodium-plated hands filled with Super-LumiNova for clear legibility.
