Introducing the New Czapek Time Jumper, Celebrating Ten Years of Masterful Watchmaking
Czapek & Cie., the brainchild of François Czapek and Antoni Patek from the mid-1800s, embarked on an extraordinary journey ten years ago. Revived by Harry Guhl, Xavier de Roquemaurel, and Sébastien Follonier in 2015, Czapek experienced immediate success, securing the hallowed Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève that same year. Despite the challenges of meeting high demands in the pandemic era, Czapek continued to shine, and now celebrates its tenth anniversary of resurgence with a new stellar watch and a fresh caliber, the tenth in its collection.
The vortex-like guilloché inlay, created by Swiss supplier Metalem, is complemented by two cutouts. The cyclops dome magnifier showcases the 24-hour display while a curved dilemma beneath reveals the minutes function. Opening the hinged cover reveals the in-house Caliber 10 movement, reflected in the mirror-polished case lid’s underside. The polished case from Swiss partner and supplier AB Concept measures 40.5mm in diameter and 42.4mm lug tip to lug tip, offering a fairly compact form and a comfortable wrist fit. With an exclusivity of only 100 steel and 30 yellow gold pieces, it is priced at CHF 42,000 and CHF 64,000, respectively.
The brand also plans to manufacture a further 50 pieces with the Caliber 10 for special project pieces and bespoke, custom pieces in Czapek boutiques or retailers, rounding up the total pieces to approximately 180. This, in turn, is a nod to the brand’s initial founding in 180 years ago in 1845.
