A. Lange & Söhne, known for its impeccable timepiece mastery, introduces a unique artistic rendition to its coveted Lange 1 collection. The Lange 1 Daymatic Honeygold, set to premiere in 2025, connotes a warm upgrade to one of the brand’s most iconic self-winding timepieces. This timely revelation is slated for December 7th, a date notable for marking both the founding of the company in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange and the brand’s revival in 1990 by Walter Lange.

This new Lange 1 Daymatic, for the first time ever, will incorporate the brand’s proprietary Honeygold alloy, underlining the brand’s commitment to exclusivity and innovation. The brand once discontinued its classic Lange 1 Daymatic models, but their return in Honeygold brings back their sophisticated charm intertwined with contemporary charm.

The distinctive Honeygold hue is what sets the new variation far apart from its siblings – variations featuring yellow gold with a champagne dial, platinum with a rhodium dial, and white gold with a blue dial. This decadently warm 18-carat gold alloy is exclusive to the brand. In comparison to conventional gold, Honeygold not only stands out for its colour—a pleasant shade between yellow and rose gold—but also for its hardness. Although tougher, it retains a luminescent elegance.

The Daymatic Honeygold stays true to its traditional grace, presenting a comfortable 39.5mm case framed in the golden opulence. It sports a slender 10.4mm thickness and a polished bezel— hallmarks of the collection’s signature sophistication, paired with subtly curved lugs that impart comfort and poise under a cuff.

The artistic Lange manufacture automatic calibre L021.1 powers the Daymatic Honeygold. Developed in-house for the watch’s debut in 2010, the L021.1 features a 21k gold central rotor that adds a timeless elegance to this timepiece. The asymmetrical dial in solid silver and Honeygold hands, appliques, and a date frame resonate well with the case’s hue. A brown background displays white digits in the outsized date unit, lending it a lustrous balance.
