Marking a Decade of Innovation, Done Watches Introduces the Mechanica Chrono: A Rare Gem in Swiss Horology

Founded in the very heart of Switzerland’s watchmaking region, Done Watches is the passion project of industry veteran Thierry Clottu. With a pedigree of experience working for prestigious brands such as TAG Heuer, Perrelet, Leroy, and Candino, Clottu has not only contributed significantly to the development of the horology landscape but also carved his niche with his company, TCL Concept. Established as a vehicle for product development across various brands, TCL Concept led him down the path of crafting his opus. Launched nearly a decade ago through a successful Kickstarter campaign, this very timepiece laid the groundwork for Done Watches.

The Mechanica Chrono ‘Nine in Ten’ clearly displays Clottu’s attention to detail and product development expertise. The openworked design provides an unobstructed view of the movement, while a sapphire dial carrying logo and counter rings, adds to its appeal. The skeletonised date wheel, tinted in ruthenium, frames a SuperLumiNova-treated applique that highlights the current date, ensuring optimal legibility.

The 40-mm case, created from stainless steel, blends classic proportions and modern aesthetics. Known for his commitment to creating visually slender and comfortable watches, Clottu has achieved a wonderful balance of volumes in this model. Finally, the watch features double-sided anti-reflective coating, offering maximum wearing comfort and a visually stirring addition to Done Watches’ lineup.
