Experience Retro Chic with the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x fragment, a Limited Edition Offering

Published: 02 Dec 2025
A throwback to the original era of luxury timepieces, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x fragment limited edition introduces modern minimalism to vintage sophistication.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph’s timeless persona is undergoing a facelift in celebration of its 60th anniversary. The brand is delving back into the original aesthetic appeal of the 60s and 70s, reviving the beloved domed acrylic crystals in the form of a refined sapphire crystal. This ‘Carrera Glassbox’ was introduced by the brand to elevate the watch’s charm by adding a touch of antiquity, but without compromising on durability.

The Glassbox design is now seeing an interesting reinterpretation courtesy of FRGMT, the Fragment design studio helmed by acclaimed Japanese designer and streetwear pioneer, Hiroshi Fujiwara. Known for his minimalist design ethos, Fujiwara is no stranger to the Carrera family, known for his successful redesigning endeavors of vintage-inspired Carrera models and Autavia watches in the past.

The dial strikes a fine balance between minimalist visuals and practical functionality, with stripped down black counters for a bold look, backed by classic Carrera details for easy time-telling. Super-LumiNova inserts, hands, and hour markers grace the dial amidst FRGMT’s logo embossed at intervals. The timepiece is powered by the calibre TH20-00, an automatic column-wheel chronograph, known for its steady running, and substantial power reserve of 80 hours.

This one-of-a-kind timepiece achieves a perfect fusion of old-world charm and modern aesthetics. The Carrera’s classic identity is not just preserved but celebrated, ensuring horological enthusiasts enjoy a hearty slice of history along with the thrill of novel design intervention.
