Luminox, a consequential partner to Iceland’s revered voluntary rescue organization ICE-SAR, reinforces its shared legacy with the release of the ICE-SAR 1080 Series. This unique collection is designed to endure the most extreme conditions, matching the audacious commitments of a team that continually operates in treacherous terrains such as volcanic regions, avalanche hotspots, storm-stricken coastlines, and shipwreck salvage sites.

Among their key features is the Luminox Light Technology (LLT), providing a luminescent glow for up to 25 years without any need for charging. To enhance clarity and convenience, 15 LLT tubes are strategically placed within the new 1080 series. Additionally, a Super-LumiNova SAR emblem adorns the 12 o’clock mark, acting as both a practical measure and symbolic recognition of the ICE-SAR team’s vigilant status in the land of ice and fire.

The new series is designed for versatile deployment, boasting a rating of 200 meters water resistance, thus aptly suited for marine operations and mountain missions alike. A unique inclusion is the pulsometer scale, a subtle yet critical tool for field triage.

The flip side of the watch features the last-resort rescue protocol, LAST — Locate, Access, Stabilize, and Transport — engraved on a 316L stainless-steel caseback, a potent testament to the high-stakes duties of the ICE-SAR.

The series’ highlight is the Limited-edition ICE-SAR 1080, limited to 874 pieces in a nod to the year 874 AD, marking the arrival of the first settlers in Iceland.
