The brainchild of Axel Leuenberger and Jérémy Freléchox, former APRP alumni, Vanguart made its debut in 2021 with unique timepieces that revolutionized the industry, replete with complex automatons and joystick-style time setting systems.

Expanding the Black Hole collection, the brand introduced two new references - the Black Hole Arabic Numerals in titanium and the Black Hole Rose Gold at the esteemed Dubai Watch Week in 2025. The feature of our discussion today is the latter, stretching the boundaries of traditional aesthetics with a sculptural, technical dial intermixed with grande sonnerie and chiming watch movements.

Taking the essence of the original Black Hole a notch higher, the Rose Gold edition retains the integrated design, carved from solid rose gold, ushering in a new era of luxury in the world of horology. Detailing is seen in its polished bevels and microblasted central fuselage, forming an alluring contrast with the surrounding exoskeleton.

Both variants portray an impressive visual story, with multiple layers of concave disks that revolve around the levitating tourbillon, integral to the dial side of the movement. The time indication is provided by the semi-instantaneous rotating discs, controlled by the unique joystick system.

On the Black Hole Arabic Numerals, Eastern Arabic symbols adorn the dial, displaying a treat for numerology enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the Black Hole Rose Gold sticks to the Western-style markers, offering a sophisticated blend of form, light, and depth in its anthracite PVD titanium dial.

Borrowing elements from the original Black Hole, the Rose Gold version incorporates 775 components to execute a levitating tourbillon calibre, setting the stage for an unmatched fusion of practicality and prestige.
