Perrelet Partners With Emirati Artist Diaa Allam – Unveiling a Distinctive Turbine Watch at Dubai Watch Week

The seventh edition of Dubai Watch Week sees the launch of Perrelet's limited edition Turbine watch in collaboration with renowned Emirati calligrapher, Diaa Allam.

Dubai Watch Week, a key event in the horology industry, is presenting its seventh edition with over 90 participating brands. Among these is Perrelet, whose collaboration with acclaimed Emirati calligrapher and performer Diaa Allam has resulted in a distinguished limited-edition Turbine watch reflecting the culture of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Perrelet’s signature Turbine watch, initially influenced by the company’s patented Double Rotor of 1995, showcases a free-spinning upper rotor reminiscent of jet turbine propellers. When set in motion by the wearer’s wrist movements, the 12 black anodised aluminium blades uncover glimpses of the dial beneath. For this special edition, Allam’s vibrant use of colour and bold calligraphy find expression on this lower dial. As the Turbine gains momentum, the multicoloured segments, reminiscent of traditional palm leaf wickerwork, become more visually striking.

Powered by the calibre P-331-MH, an in-house automatic movement by Soprod, the watch delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The collaboration of Perrelet with Diaa Allam will culminate in only 50 units of the limited-edition Turbine watch, retailing for CHF 5,180.
