Ulysse Nardin Unveils Ultra-Light Diver [AIR] for Dubai Retailer Ahmed Seddiqi's 75th Anniversary

Ulysse Nardin reveals a limited edition of its groundbreaking Diver [AIR], ushering in a new era of ultra-light mechanical dive timepieces. This special release, boasting vibrant blue accents and a breathtaking skeletonised movement, marks the 75th anniversary of Dubai’s leading watch retailer, Ahmed Seddiqi. With only 30 pieces available, this Diver [AIR] is a feast for the eyes and the wrist, weighing just 52 grams - 50% less than its Diver X Skeleton siblings.

Despite its headquarters located 1,000 meters above sea level in Le Locle, Ulysse Nardin’s heritage is deeply entwined with the sea. The watchmaker has been pioneering precision marine timepieces since the late 19th century. Today, it continues to fuse nautical history with cutting-edge craftsmanship in their Marine and Diver watch collections.

The skeleton movement inside the Diver [AIR] is made from hollowed-out titanium bridges formed into the signature Ulysee Nardin X shape. The escapement is crafted from silicon, a testament to the company’s pioneering use of silicium technology. Even with the reduced weight, it still boasts a robust 90-hour power reserve.

The blue accents on the crown guards, indices on the rotating bezel, suspended flange, and elastic strap identify this special edition as an Ahmed Seddiqi celebratory timepiece. The Super-LumiNova coating on the indices and hands emit a vivid blue glow, adding a unique touch to its aesthetics. Appropriately, the 75th Seddiqi anniversary transfer is embossed on the mineral glass caseback.

This remarkable Diver [AIR] is completed with a scratch-closing blue elastic strap and an additional white rubber strap with black ceramic and PVD-coated titanium folding clasp. The pricing information is available on request from Seddiqi, with the estimated cost similar to the non-limited edition, priced at CHF 36,000.
