Omega Celebrates Upcoming Winter Olympics with a New, Winter-Themed 38mm Speedmaster
As the world eagerly anticipates the start of the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina 2022, Omega steps up the thrill by launching a new timepiece. Celebrating as the official timekeeper of the games, Omega unveils a uniquely winter-themed 38mm Speedmaster. The Speedmaster Milano Cortina 2026 captivates the anticipation of the games with its stunning aesthetics and formidable features.
Enveloped within a 38mm by 14.75mm stainless steel case, the Speedmaster offers water resistance of up to 100m. A marvellous mix of the cold, crisp winter ambiance is achieved through the polished stainless steel bezel, adorned with a blue ceramic ring and a white enamel DON tachymeter scale.
Distinctive to this Winter Olympics-inspired Speedmaster is the special formatting of ‘26’ in the date window. The ‘26’ adopted the same font as the Milano Cortina ‘26 logo, which is also engraved on the caseback. The remaining dates are displayed in a normal font.
Powered by the Caliber 3330 automatic COSC-certified movement, the watch provides a power reserve of 52 hours. It displays hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and 30-minute and 12-hour counters. The timepiece sports a new bracelet similar to those found on the Speedmaster Professional, with an 18 to 15mm taper, and a clasp equipped with a comfort-release adjustment system that offers around 2mm of adjustment to the wearer.
Prized at $6,800, this special edition watch, from the revered house of Omega, lives up to its name—not only in celebrating one of the greatest sporting events on Earth but in its magnificent crafting that pays homage to the game while striking a flawless balance of elegance and functionality.
