Alpina Unveils Art Deco-inspired Dial for Europe-exclusive Heritage Carrée Automatic
In 2023, Alpina marked its 140th anniversary with the surprise launch of Heritage Carrée Mechanical watches. These limited-edition timepieces featured the meticulously restored, historical calibre 490 hand-wound movement housed in a silver case. The response was overwhelmingly positive, paving the way for non-limited, automatic movement versions of the Heritage Carrée.
Now, Alpina is releasing a new iteration of this beloved design, exclusive to European markets. The Heritage Carrée Automatic Edition Europe, like its predecessors, draws heavily from Art Deco inspiration, evident in every element of the timepiece. The watch presents a rectangular, polished stainless steel case, manifesting charmingly restrained dimensions - a mere 32.5mm width, 39mm length and a slim profile no thicker than 10mm.
The watch leverages the calibre AL-530, modelled on the Sellita SW261. This automatic movement operates at 4Hz, affording a 38-hour power reserve, revealed gracefully through a transparent caseback and a gold-toned rotor.
Promised to be a definitive collector’s piece, the Heritage Carrée Automatic Edition Europe is limited to 100 specimens. The watch, adorned a black ostrich leather strap and a pin buckle, is priced at EUR 1,850.
