Favre Leuba's Sea Sky Revival Series Adds a Striking Green Dial to its Collection
Favre Leuba, one of the Swiss watch industry’s oldest contenders, has seen its fortunes wax and wane over the centuries. It found notable success during the 1960s with a series of iconic rugged tool watches. The brand underwent several changes of ownership before being relaunched at the Geneva Watch Days 2024 by industry veteran Patrik Hoffmann. One of the 22 products showcased at this relaunch was the Sea Sky Revival, a chronograph that draws inspiration from a 1960s model.
Now, adding a fresh twist to this nostalgic line-up, Favre Leuba presents a new iteration of the Sea Sky Revival with a stunning green dial. Understanding the demand for watches that marry vintage-inspired aesthetics with modern specs, the Sea Sky Revival incorporates numerous design elements from its precursor. These include the tricompax layout of the dial, piston-style pushers, a large and easy-to-grip crown, a notched bezel, and sharply angled lugs.
Powering the watch is the FLC01 calibre (La Joux-Perret L112 top grade), an automatic column-wheel chronograph. It ticks at 4Hz and sports a commendable power reserve of 60 hours. The watch also showcases the heat-blued column wheel and the customised openworked rose gold PVD rotor, along with blued screws, Côtes de Genève, and perlage detailing. Paired with a black leather strap and punctuated by quick-release push pins, as well as a steel pin buckle, the Sea Sky Revival is priced at CHF 3,950.
