Unveiling Innovation with India's First Tourbillon and Wandering Hours Timepiece - Titan Stellar 3.0
This year India’s prime watchmaking company, Titan, has made a mark in the horology world, unveiling the Titan Stellar 3.0 – a daring, sporty-looking crystallized titanium and bronze watch featuring India’s first wandering hours display. Celebrating their 40th anniversary in an unprecedented style, Titan’s innovative tourbillon timepiece truly showcases the company’s unexpected and impressive horological capabilities.
The highlight of the Titan Stellar 3.0 is undoubtedly its dial and original display. The timepiece does away with traditional hands rotating around the dial and makes use of a fascinating wandering hours motion. This unique layout sees a central carousel holding two satellites, each representing six hours, rotating one position every hour. The central carousel executes a standard 360-degree motion every two hours directing towards the 180-degree minute track from 9 to 3 o’clock on the upper part of the dial.
Powering this innovative display is an in-house movement developed by Titan. The Calibre INH 7AW-D2 is an automatic movement with a central rotor, providing about 40 hours of power reserve and delivering an accuracy of -10/+30 seconds per day. This local production enhances the uniqueness and national pride associated with the Titan Stellar 3.0, forging new paths for watchmaking in India.
