Serica Celebrates New York Watch Week with Debut of Linen-Inspired Dress Watches
Celebrating New York Watch Week, esteemed watchmaker Serica has debuted its first expansion of the popular Parade series, the 1174 Linen. The two newest editions take inspiration from cross-weave fabric, providing a decorative spin on Serica’s sporty yet sophisticated dress watch. The choice between Slate and Tobacco iterations bestows enthusiasts with an opportunity to select their favourite fresh dial texture.
Aesthetically, the latest Parade designs echo their predecessors, retaining the iconic physical form and lug-less stainless-steel ‘stadium’ case shape. The watches impressively offer 100m of water resistance despite their slim profile, a feat achieved by a design approach that involves screws traversing the entire length of the case, which connect at the underside of the bezel. Free of text, the Tobacco and Slate blue dials are simply adorned with cylindrical hour markers and distinctive virtues of vertical brushing.
Serica sets its Linen-inspired Parade watches at a price mark of $1,790, featuring tobacco green or slate blue dials, paired with matching alligator-embossed calf straps and Serica’s Parade pin buckle. The launch of these new models is expected to carry forward the brand’s appeal, accentuating casual elegance while the linen dial, unique case, and meticulous focus on details continues to set Serica apart from other brands.
