Monta Releases Triumph V2, Seiko Resurrects Iconic 'Rotocall': A New Dawn in Watchmaking

Known as the Triumph V2, the new release bear the hallmarks of its pioneer, the original Triumph model introduced in 2017 that etched the Monta name in the realm of microbrands.

Witness a retake on the contemporary field watch design as Triumph V2 sports a 40mm stainless steel case, thoughtfully upscaled from the previous 38.5mm. Essentailly a reissue of the iconic Seiko A829 from the early 1980s, the Rotocall is a digital watch with bezel controls. From switching to dual-time, alarm, stopwatch, counter and timer to time-setting, functionality is at your fingertips – or rather, the turn of the bezel. A digital legend in its own right, the A829, nicknamed ‘Rotocall’ due to the turning bezel, was a hit among astronauts for its ease of operation – even with space suit gloves on.
