Angelus and Massena LAB have once more teamed up to showcase a marvel of horological ingenuity. After the successful launch of their first joint endeavour, the 2023 Chronographe Médical, the duo return with a captivating second offering that truly captures the essence of mid-century chronographs: the Chronographe Télémètre x Massena LAB. Distinguishing itself through a black domed dial ensconced in luxurious yellow gold, this collaborative workstay true to the vintage tool-watch spirit of Angelus.

Adding a rich contrast against the yellow gold frame, the black domed dial lends a distinct air of vintage charm. A grained centre aids in reducing light glare, while a satin-finished rehaut carries a 20km telemeter. A diamond-cut step tactfully separates the telemeter from the railway minutes scale, concurrently preserving visual balance with recessed, snailed sub-dials placed at 9 o’clock (running seconds) and 3 o’clock (30-minute totaliser).

Adding to its functionality is the incorporation of gold-finished applied Arabic numerals and baton indices, and leaf hands which are completed with Super-LumiNova. Driven by calibre A5000, the Chronographe Télémètre is moved by a hand-wound monopusher chronograph mechanism, engineered and built within the La Joux-Perret ecosystem that touts a power reserve of up to 42 hours. Attention to detail is evident in the remarkable finishing, characterized by gold-plished bridges with Geneva stripes and hand-chamfered edges, a circular-grained mainplate, and palladium-coated chronograph works that contrast with brushed steel levers and hammers, and polished screws.

Rounding out its elegance, this exquisite timepiece is worn on a black Saffiano calfskin strap and secured by an 18k 3N yellow-gold pin buckle.
