Retro Appeal Meets Modern Sophistication: Introducing the Girard Perregaux Laureato Fifty Limited Edition Watch

Published: 14 Oct 2025
Girard Perregaux heralds a wave of nostalgia with its Laureato Fifty, celebrating the golden jubilee of the original 1975 model.

The Swiss watchmaker, Girard-Perregaux, harks back to the elegance of the mid-70s with the Laureato Fifty, a limited edition timepiece drawn after the original 1975 Laureato model. To mark the 50th anniversary of the classic integrated bracelet series, only 200 pieces of the Laureato Fifty will be in circulation. Exhibiting a sense of tasteful elegance, the new model flaunts a streamlined 39 mm x 9.8 mm case, cast in two-tone stainless steel clad with an 18K yellow gold bezel. The crown, and the bracelet’s center links, are also forged with 18 Karat yellow gold, evoking a vintage yet luxurious touch. The grey guilloché dial is adorned with signature “Clous de Paris” design, with pink gold-plated hands and applied indices enhancing the visual appeal. The heart of the Laureato Fifty is its automatic, in-house caliber GP4800 – a remarkable feat of horology encapsulating a stop-seconds function, variable inertia balance, and a 55-hour power reserve. The upgraded winding system ensures improved durability, while the rhodium-plated bridges with golden inscriptions, Genève stripes, and polished screw heads add an extra visual treat. Providing comfort on the wear, the Laureato Fifty offers a convenient micro-adjustable integrated bracelet which allows for 4 mm of toolless flexibility without needing to remove entire links. This model (Ref. 81008-63-3412-1CM) also boasts water resistance up to 150 meters, commanding a retail price of $28,320.
