Swan & Edgar’s inception itself pays tribute to British watchmaking tradition as James Fields, a man born into a family of watchmakers, founded it. It’s named after a London department store, Swan & Edgar, fondly remembered by Fields’ watchmaking father for its service to the Royal family. In the Horizon collection, Fields artfully merges tradition with a forward-looking vision. The timepieces’ 39.5mm stainless-steel case is a study in elegance, marrying traditional design with modern execution. The case height ensures that the watch sits comfortably on most wrists, highlighting the stunning dial which is the main focus. The Horizon collection offers two distinct dial options, each paying tribute to a different aspect of the White Cliffs. The Blue Enamel, with its dark-to-light transition, mirrors the varying shades of the English Channel, while the Mineral Musou is reminiscent of the cliffs’ chalk-white majesty, achieved by using naturally white quartz stone. The Musou Black base, absorbing almost all visible light, gives the dial an appearance of floating weightlessly.
