These exquisite creations masterfully distil the core genetics of the Saxonia collection into two new time-only watches, underscored by elegant aesthetics and precise Germans craftsmanship. Launched in 2025, these limited-edition models are fashioned from either Honey Gold or platinum, paired beautifully with onyx stone dials, reflecting an understated sophistication.

Rather than striving for record-breaking thinness, A. Lange & Söhne have designed these Saxonia Thins as notably streamlined, yet resilient dress watches. The comfort and luxury they offer make them ideal wristwear for slipping under the cuff of a shirt, while also ensuring the substance of a premier luxury timepiece.

As for the newly introduced Saxonia Thin watches, the cases are expertly crafted from either 950 platinum or 18k Honey Gold alloy, and coupled with sapphire crystals, simple signed crowns, and display-style casebacks that afford a view of meticulously executed internal movements. Embodying the sophistication of the Saxonia Thins, the onyx-dial versions embrace a minimal 30 meters of water resistance, paired with black alligator leather straps that complement the glossy black surfaces of their stone dials.

The base layer of the dials, made from 925 sterling silver, features a polished slice of onyx, topped with slender baton-shaped hour markers. Their surfaces have been thoughtfully faceted for captivating plays of light. Keeping with the minimalist ethos, apart from the A. Lange & Söhne logo beneath the 12 o’clock marker and the faint ‘Made in Germany’ inscription at the very bottom of the display, the rest of the onyx dials remain devoid of printing for an unbroken visual appeal.

Finally, the duo of onyx-dial limited editions is powered by A. Lange & Söhne’s Caliber L093.1 manual-wind movement, featuring a traditional three-quarter plate architecture with their plates and connectors fashioned from untreated German silver.
