A. Lange & Söhne Introduces the Refined Saxonia Thin Onyx Editions in Honeygold or Platinum

A. Lange & Söhne, the renowned luxury watch brand, has unveiled the latest iteration of its iconic Saxonia Thin watch. The new Onyx Editions, which come in Honeygold or Platinum, serve as a fitting tribute to the spirit of minimalist luxury that has always defined the Saxonia Thin.

First launched in 2011 and revamped in 2016, the Saxonia Thin is celebrated for its pared-down elegance. It encapsulates A. Lange & Söhne’s commitment to producing watches of elemental beauty, employing only two hands and a perfectly balanced sense of proportion. The latest Onyx Editions elevate this minimalist ethos to new heights, combining the familiar Saxonia Thin design with an adroit touch of modern refinement.

These Onyx Editions retain the slender 40mm diameter, 6.2mm height, and three-part case structure that have long defined the Saxonia Thin. The harmony between the dial, case, and gently curved lugs create a light and refined aesthetic that rings true to its name.

Featured within these exquisite timepieces is the calibre L093.1, the thinnest movement from Lange’s manufacture at a mere 2.9mm. Manually wound, this movement has a powerful 72-hour power reserve. As with all Lange creations, this movement is assembled with meticulous attention to detail. The movement’s three-quarter plate in untreated German silver with Glashütte stripes, the hand-engraved balance cock, the three gold chatons secured by blued screws, and the precisely polished bevels and graining underline Lange’s commitment to horological excellence.

Limited to 200 pieces each in Honeygold and platinum, the new Saxonia Thin Onyx editions are complete with a glossy black alligator leather strap and matching prong buckles, further enhancing their luxurious appeal.
