The Seiko 5 Sports Collection, renowned globally, continues to dazzle aficionados with its exceptional offerings. They’ve recently launched the Seiko 5 Sports Bamford Limited Edition SRPL95 in collaboration with London’s luxury custom watch brand Bamford. The inspiration for the creation is a refreshing getaway to a serene paradise, emphasizing a relaxing retreat from the urban hustle.

Bamford Watch Department, established in 2003, laid foundations on the customisation of luxury timepieces before progressing towards collaborating with renowned brands and launching dedicated limited editions. Their recent transformation revolves around the popular Seiko 5 Sports SKX series, adding a dabble of colours, transparency, and glow to create an awe-inspiring experience.

An added characteristic of the SRPL95 includes the water-resistance capacity of up to 100m, making it suitable for aquatic adventures. The Hardlex crystal adds a protective finishing touch. However, the uniqueness of the SRPL95 lies in the design elements on the dial and bezel. The classic Seiko archive design is recreated on the bezel, flaunting blocky markers, 5-minute digits and a luminous sector in orange.

A transparent blue plate adorns the dial, revealing the day-date discs underneath, further enhanced with luminosity. Echoing an angular design inspired by the 1980s SKX series, the combination of markers and hands enhances the overall aesthetic appeal.

The SRPL95 houses an automatic movement, the in-house calibre 4R36, often found in most watches from this collection. The NATO-like nylon strap patterned with blue and orange stripes ensures a comfortable fit and a stylish look.

The SRPL95, a limited edition of 2,025 pieces, is priced at EUR 480 or GBP 400 and exclusively available from Seiko Boutiques. This piece successfully strikes a balance between the old and the new, offering a fresh appeal to watch enthusiasts around the globe.
