Grand Seiko Introduces the Two-Tone Tentagraph SLGC006 in Latest Evolution of the Iconic Model
The Grand Seiko brand, renowned for its horological legacy, has introduced a new mechanical chronograph model to its Tentagraph line - the SLGC006. Being the first-ever mechanical chronograph from the Japanese luxury brand, the Tentagraph watch series is highly significant for Grand Seiko. Seiko, a brand with deep roots in producing chronograph watches since the 1960s, paved the way for Grand Seiko, inspiring different Spring Drive chronograph models.
The Grand Seiko Tentagraph SLGC006, however, takes the laurels for being the first Grand Seiko with a fully mechanical movement. Expanding the Tentagraph series, the SLGC006 is the brand’s high-frequency chronograph’s new two-tone expression and is limited to 300 pieces only. The dial of this latest novelty takes design cues from Japan’s famous Mt. Iwate, offering an aesthetic that articulates the mountain bathed in morning sunlight.
Similar to previous models, the Grand Seiko Tentagraph SLGC006’s case is made from the brand’s high-intensity titanium alloy. To complement the warm colorway, the bezel ring, crown, and chronograph pushers are all skillfully crafted from 18k rose gold. Despite the modest use of gold limited to a few components, the hands and hour markers, featuring a rose gold finish, strikingly enhance this timepiece’s visual appeal. In essence, the Grand Seiko Tentagraph SLGC006 is a fine blend of luxury, sophistication, and traditional watchmaking craft, offering watch enthusiasts a timepiece with a unique chronographic experience.
