Introducing the Limited-edition MING 37.02 Monolith: The Elegance of Stealth Manifested

Published: 17 Jul 2025
Behold the MING 37.02 Monolith, unpicking the distinct character of MING's innovative timepiece that seamlessly combines elegance with enigmatic stealth.

MING, an independent Malaysian brand has published yet another chapter in its chronicle, this time with the launch of the limited-edition 37.02 Monolith. It may seem dark, almost stealthy, but that’s the trick of light it plays with its matte black dial and brushed anthracite DLC-coated stainless steel case. The darker hues are deliberate, they absorb light rather than reflecting it, and thereby gives a leaner and subtly smaller appearance.

The magic continues even in the darkest hours, thanks to the hour and minute hands, finished with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova X1 inserts for contrast. The only branding you’d find here is the subtle ‘MING’ at 6 o’clock, maintaining the timepiece’s minimalist design ethos.

In the engine room of the 37.02 Monolith ticks a customised version of the Sellita SW300-1, an automatic movement that promises a reliable 45-hour power reserve and runs at a frequency of 28,800vph. With its skeletonised anthracite bridges, plates, and rotor, the Monolith is more than ready for a tropical escapade.

While MING is known for limited production runs, the 37.02 Monolith comes with a twist. It changes course from MING’s earlier trend of keeping watches in stock and ready to ship. This model is marketed as a “rarer variant” with an annual production limited to just 100 pieces, thereby making it an ever so special addition to any watch connoisseur’s collection.
