Bell & Ross Unveils Its Latest Subtle Variation in the Form of the Intricate BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic

Published: 10 Jul 2025
In the intricate world of horology, Bell & Ross introduces a subtly altered timepiece, the BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic, sure to enthrall watch enthusiasts.

In the meticulous world of horology, the devil lies in the destination, with the most subtle distinctions often separating two unique watch models. It’s with this ethos that Bell & Ross has introduced their new BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic Watch, providing a nearly identical yet significantly enhanced tactile experience to the model the French brand launched last year. This time, a touch of black has been added to the dial and hands to present a truly monochromatic appearance.

Upon an initial glance, one might be mistaken to think that this is merely a déjà vu experience — a mere mirroring of the original BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic from 2024. However, a study with keen eyes will reveal the crafty detail: the newer version has black lume with matching black-finished hands and indexes, as opposed to the white-colored lume with polished frames of the previous model.

Despite only adding a dash of black to the dial and hands, the BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic Watch continues to impress with its signature brushed and polished black ceramic case. Water-resistant up to 100 meters and featuring a display caseback, the watch is available in two configurations: with a matching black ceramic integrated bracelet or a black rubber strap. Both options are completed by folding clasps made from stainless steel with a black PVD finish.

The bell of the ball remains the dial of the BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic. Almost mirroring the design and layout of the standard-production BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic, the latest edition paints a monochromatic canvas, with a sheet of smoked sapphire for the central section of its dial, hands and hour markers. The Super-LumiNova feature on the hands and indexes, while appearing black in daylight, glows green in the dark. Only 500 such examples will fill a void in luxury watch collections worldwide.
