In an extraordinary demonstration of innovation and artistry, Swiss luxury watchmaker Richard Mille and exceptional motorcycle builder Brough Superior launch a highly specialised, track-focused motorcycle: the RMB01. Following eighteen months of meticulous collaboration, the duo produced twelve prototypes before finalising the captivating RMB01, a model limited to 150 variants.

Its dashboard perfectly encapsulates the Richard Mille ethos. Working mechanically and electronically, it incorporates titanium wheels and shows a tachometer, speedometer, and indicator lights. The design takes visual notes from the brand’s RM 40-01 automatic chronograph, showcasing the seamless dialogue between timekeeping and motion. Design features from RM 022, RM 003, RM 002, and RM 021 also inspire the crankcase and engine casings of the RMB01.

Powering the bike is a high-performance, water-cooled DOHC 88˚ V-twin four-stroke 997cc engine with composite chain, gear cam drive, and a four-valve per cylinder. This powertrain, crafted from blocks of high-quality aluminium, combines a 6-speed cassette-type gearbox and a multiplate oil-bath clutch with hydraulic operation and APTC slipper clutch. The engine weight is optimised through the careful profiling of internal parts and several recesses. This exacting process results in a decrease in weight from 160 kg to 23 kg for the finished parts.

Every component in the RMB01 is carefully engineered to elevate the rider experience, including the self-supporting exoskeleton fashioned from forged carbon and combined with a structural engine, machined from aircraft-grade alloy blocks. The motorcycle’s front and rear suspension showcase the artistry in motorbike manufacturing, each piece CNC-machined with precision and adapted for preload and rebound damping.

With just 150 bikes being hand-assembled and rigorously bench-tested in France, exclusivity is an inherent part of the RMB01 Motorcycle experience. Available in three distinctive versions - Pearl of Speed, Selene, and Nocturnal Sapphire, the bike promises a blend of superior craftsmanship and high-speed thrill for each of its lucky owners.
