Swiss Brand Norqain Shrinks Classic Skeleton Watch Design for New 40mm Independence Model
Norqain has always been recognized for its contemporary, adventure-geared watches, with some of the most revered models hailing from the Independence series. Now, in accordance with prevalent watch market trends, the company unveils a sleeker 40mm version of its trailblazing Independence Skeleton.
The Independence series has seen successful models including the carbon fiber Wild One, developed in partnership with Jean-Claude Biver, and the first-ever skeletonized version by Norqain. Adding to this legacy, the 40mm Independence Skeleton follows with a robust, skeletonized Sellita SW200-1S automatic movement, housed in a durable case, perfect for outdoor pursuits.
These watches come in stainless steel or black DLC-coated casing with sporty, sandblasted recessed sections. The ornamental case is primarily brushed with polished highlights adding a touch of sophistication. Unlike the larger 42mm models, these iterations house transparent mainplates, revealing the skeletonized bridges that secure the movement, providing a clearer view of the movement’s components.
The watches are powered by the Sellita SW200-1 automatic calibre, COSC-certified for precision. A Norqain-dedicated rotor characterizes the 41-hour power reserve. Depending on preference, customers can couple their timepiece with a grey rubber strap or a steel bracelet for the stainless steel version, while the black DLC model comes with a khaki or black rubber.
