Witness the Stunning Craftsmanship in New 'Time Eater' Watches by Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin

Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin serve luxury and whimsy in equal measures with their new Time Eater Tourbillion timepieces.

Following their initial successful collaboration, renowned watchmakers Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin have unveiled an exciting duo of limited-edition Time Eater Tourbillon watches. Echoing the series’ preceding models, these timepieces infuse Erard’s timeless regulator-style display with Chaykin’s enthusiastic, character-driven designs. While at a distance, these tourbillon-equipped creations may be mistaken for their predecessors, a closer inspection reveals a playful twist. The running seconds sub-dial, originally positioned within the ‘monster’s mouth’ at the 6 o’clock mark, has made way for a 60-second tourbillon. In this innovative configuration, the hour is denoted through the rotation of the eye, its pupil tracking the current hour. The central-mounted hand denotes the minutes. Within the ‘monster’s mouth’, lies the tourbillon, with a small pink seconds hand resembling the monster’s tongue as it moves. Variations between the two creations are subtle, each presenting a unique minute track ring color and a purposefully chosen leather strap. The green Time Eater Tourbillon will be sold by Louis Erard, and the blue variant will be exclusively sold by Konstantin Chaykin. Both models have a three-part polished stainless steel case, measuring 42mm in diameter by 12.65mm thick. A domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal shields the dial and a display case back completes the casing. Water-resistance remains at the standard 50 meters for most of Louis Erard’s models. Powering these remarkable timepieces is the Caliber BCP T02 manual-wind tourbillon movement, offering a power reserve of 100 hours. Infusing intricate craftsmanship and precision, these timepieces highlight the collaborative spirit of two horological masters.
