Marrying heritage and innovation, two watchmakers reveal their latest collections - a limited edition homage to Canada and a tribute to a classic French motorsport event.

Two creative watchmakers are making history with their innovative take on vintage designs. Marathon Watch, an 85-year-old watchmaker based in Canada with manufacturing facilities in Switzerland, introduces the ADANAC Stainless Steel Navigator Pilot’s Automatic, a patriotic tribute to Canada. This wristwatch celebrates Canada’s heritage with an arctic white dial and a blazing red Maple Leaf, symbolic of the nation’s flag. The watch, limited to just 500 pieces and priced at $1280, is a testament to timeless style and elegance, and a nod to the company’s blend of Canadian roots and international appeal.

Running parallel to the course of history, Richard Mille introduces the RM30-01 LeMans Classic as a tribute to the historic Le Mans Classic race. This biennial event, set amid the French countryside, celebrates historic race cars from different eras. This year’s watch model is simpler and visually more subdued than its predecessor, the RM 72-01 Flyback Chronograph. The watch radiates the spirit of the race with its green and white colorway, punctuated by orange and green accents. Other design elements include a big date window at 4 o’clock, a titanium front bezel, and a green Quartz TPT midcase that aligns seamlessly with the green rubber strap.

Both models represent a harmonious blend of history and modern advancements in watchmaking, combining classic motifs with state-of-the-art technology to create exceptional timepieces that speak volumes about their rich heritage. As limited edition models, they are set to become treasured pieces for watch enthusiasts worldwide.
