Admire the Retro-Chic Appeal of the Hanhart 415 ES Panda & Reverse Panda Watches

Published: 02 Jul 2025
Meet the Hanhart 415 ES Panda and Reverse Panda, reinterpretations that craft a compelling union between vintage charm and modern specifications.

Inspired by their illustrious lineage, the Hanhart 415 ES Panda and its Reverse Panda variant are refreshed iterations of the veteran timepiece brand’s beloved 1960s stopwatch-styled pilots’ chronographs. They manage to encapsulate Hanhart’s historical prowess in watchmaking with a keen eye on the aesthetics of the bygone era, while proficiently meeting the performance expectations of the modern timekeepers.

The Hanhart 415 ES series in the mid-60s was celebrated for its pioneering introduction of bidirectional rotating bezel with 60-minute gradations. It was also the first to carry the winged logo, signifying the advanced specs of the stainless steel model. The new timepieces resurrect these defining features in a 39mm stainless steel case with retro pump-style pushers and a fluted bidirectional 60-click bezel. Enhancing its usability, the bezel features a matte black ceramic insert with engraved 60-minute markings while dropping the previous model’s luminescence.

The dome of sapphire crystal and the slightly twisted tips of the minute and central chronograph second hands add appealing distortions, thereby enhancing the vintage feel. Powering the watches is a dependable Sellita SW510 manual-winding movement with an extended power reserve of 58 hours. The physics-defying Hanhart damping system is integrated to ensure resilience against shocks. To satiate consumer preference, a stainless steel bracelet is bundled with the new models, which retails for EUR 2,690, inclusive of tax.
