Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm: A Classic Reimagined with a Hypnotic Grey Grand Feu Enamel Dial

Published: 23 Jun 2025
An icon returns this summer: Girard-Perregaux's Laureato 42mm, now boasting a captivating grey Grand Feu enamel dial.

Launched initially in 1975, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato was a trailblazer, pre-empting the wave of luxury sports watches. Now, after five redesigns, this timeless piece emerges as the brand’s top-seller. This summer sees the return of the classic 42mm steel time-and-date model, featuring a captivating grey Grand Feu enamel dial, offering a stylish monochromatic look.

The Laureato showcases its iconic features; a fully integrated bracelet, an octagonal bezel, a round dial, a tonneau-shaped case, and a slender quartz movement. The dial textures, captive to these models, have evolved into a stamped Clous de Paris/hobnail style. The latest Laureato preserves this unique trait, now shimmering with an array of colours.

This classic timepiece hosts an array of features beneath its captivating visage: a 100m water-resistant stainless steel case, sapphire caseback and a polished, integrated bracelet. Holding GP’s patented calibre GP01800 within its bounds, the Laureato offers a robust 54-hour power reserve.

All in all, the breathtaking grey Grand Feu enamel dial, coupled with carefully removed minute track and untreated applied rhodium-plated indices for a more elegant look, sets this 42mm Laureato apart. Its mesmerising complexion changes subtly with light, cementing Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm as a watch for true connoisseurs.
