Enter the Future of Timekeeping with SpaceOne's New World Timer Watch
SpaceOne, championed by horology entrepreneur Guillaume Laidet and independent watchmaker Théo Auffret, maintains its ambitious journey in watchmaking with the introduction of their unique model: the WorldTimer. Building on the success of its predecessors, the Jumping Hour and the Tellurium, the latest addition to the brand’s collection boasts a mind-bending, disc-based interpretation of the classic world time complication.
The SpaceOne WorldTimer’s aesthetic is a blend of potent spacecraft-inspired style with horological reverence. Its case, made of Grade 5 titanium, displays an array of polished, brushed, and sandblasted finishes that complement its sophisticated, out-of-the-ordinary form. There are three editions: classic, uncoated titanium, and two PVD-coated versions available in black or blue. The case is more oversized yet remains wearable, thanks to its ergonomic shape.
Doing away with traditional hands, the brand’s radical approach features a fully disc-based display. Hours, minutes, and running seconds each have their unique places. Plus, coaxial discs at 9 o’clock display a 24-hour scale and corresponding reference cities, giving a real-time update of time zones around the world.
More than just a pretty face, the WorldTimer watch incorporates the Soprod P024 automatic calibre with a 38-hour power reserve. Taking it up a notch is an in-house WorldTimer module, introduced by Théo Auffret and assembled in Paris. This original French touch enhances the Swiss functionality and keeps things interesting. The World Timer watch comes with a 22mm titanium buckle-fitted strap for a sleek finish. The timepiece will be available for pre-order starting 26 June 2025 via the brand’s official website.
