Ressence Unveils Limited Edition TYPE 9 S75 to Celebrate 75 Years of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

Culminating a series of collaborations with UAE’s leading watch and jewellery retailer, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Ressence has produced a number of exclusive editions over the years. Now, celebrating Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary, Ressence reveals something truly unique: the TYPE 9 S75. Designed as a homage to the UAE’s landscape, the dial of the Ressence TYPE 9 S75 is authentically created out of locally sourced sand. Housed in a light Grade 5 titanium case, 39mm in diameter and 11mm thick, the watch amplifies the brand’s core philosophy of seamless design, enhanced by the absence of a crown. It operates with a manually wound and set two-direction rotating caseback mechanism. This extraordinary timepiece displays time through Ressence patented ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System). Via this system, sub-dials orbit the central dial in fluid motion. The green Super-LumiNova filled indices enhance visibility applications. The sand of the dial layout creates an earthy, mineral texture, bonding directly with the rotating titanium discs. The automatic, customised calibre of the TYPE 9 S75, with a mounted atop ROCS 9 module, thrusts this timepiece into motion. With 28,800 vibrations/hour and a 36-hour power reserve, the watch offers a satiable run-time. In line with regional traditions, the watch is paired with a 20mm camel leather strap tapering to 18mm equipped with a fine polished Grade 5 titanium ardillon buckle. Limited to only 20 pieces, each retailing at CHF 15,500, the Ressence TYPE 9 S75 is set to become an iconic memento of Ahmed Seddiqi’s impactful journey in the horology industry.
