Unveiling the New Generation Breitling Superocean Heritage and the Fresh Tudor Black Bay 54 'Lagoon Blue'

Published: 12 Jun 2025
Witness the significant evolution of two iconic timepieces - the Breitling Superocean Heritage and the Tudor Black Bay 54.

Breitling unveils a fresh take on the Superocean Heritage, significantly refreshed since 2017. Previously known for its generous dimensions, the latest divers’ timepiece arrives in a new, more universally appealing 40mm size. The slimmer 48.2mm lug-to-lug profile and a moderate 11.73mm thickness make it a comfortable fit. The crown gets a more distinctive mushroom-like look to soften the overall silhouette.

What strikes upfront is a more refined dial design, borrowing visual traits from the Superocean Heritage ‘57 line. The dial stands out with triangular applied hour markers and a distinct marker at twelve o’clock. The elements, including the ‘B’ logo, now adopt a highly subdued and simpler typography approach.

Alongside the Superocean Heritage, Tudor introduces its Black Bay 54 ‘Lagoon Blue’. This 37mm variant retains the same specs as the original 2023 release with a minor addition - the sand-textured ‘Lagoon Blue’ dial. The timepiece enjoys a revolutionary pared-down case profile exceptional to modern timepieces and vintage-adjacent proportions as a tribute to Tudor’s first diver watch.
