Hublot Unveils Distinctive Big Bang Unico Summer Edition Radiating Summer Vibes

Published: 06 Jun 2025
Hublot presents an exciting limited edition for Summer 2025 — the Big Bang Unico, with a captivating orange case and sky blue bezel.

Hublot is set to make waves in the summer of 2025 with a new limited edition of the Big Bang Unico. Embodied in an orange case and a sky blue bezel, this piece epitomises the season’s vibrant atmosphere. The collection is synonymous with high-tech ceramic cases that marry fascinating colours, from striking orange to deep green, although subdued hues such as Mint Green and Petrol Blue offer a more subtle touch. This new colour scheme draws parallels with the golden hour of a summer evening and blue water bodies, bearing a notable resemblance to the iconic racing colours of Gulf Oil. Yet, this association is hardly a drawback. The overall design follows the classic Big Bang Unico blueprint, but with added flair through its fresh palette, providing a promising upgrade to the Sky Blue version of 2023. With a case 42mm in diameter and 14.5mm high, the watch strikes a balance between the bold and the understated. It is encased in a high-tech, micro-blasted ceramic exuding a deep orange hue. The ceramic bezel, adorned with six H-shaped titanium screws, sports a sky blue tone, bordered by two dark blue case extensions with corresponding screws that mirror the dial’s main plate. The face of the watch is protected by a sapphire crystal, while a sapphire exhibition at the back unveils the in-house automatic. Both sapphire crystals bear anti-reflective coatings, and the watch boasts a water resistance rating of up to 100 metres. Ensuring adaptability, the timepiece is furnished with three interchangeable rubber straps – orange, dark blue, and sky blue – thanks to Hublot’s patented One-Click strap system. The watch’s dial is skeletonised with Arabic numerals and indices asserted above the visible date wheel. With white Super-LumiNova inserts, these elements, along with the partially skeletonised hour/minute and sub-dial hands, stand out prominently. The main plate, bridges, and date wheel in the movement are in dark blue, offering a striking contrast. The 60-minute sub-dial at 3 o’clock reflects the sky blue beam, adding to the harmony. The minute/chrono seconds track, small seconds, and 60-minute counter frames are all in case-matching orange. A date window situated within the sub-dial at 3 o’clock contributes a final touch. Driving this spectacle is the power of the HUB1280 Unico Manufacture flyback column wheel chronograph. First launched in 2018 as an upgrade from the original 2010 model, it displays the unique blend of Hublot’s innovation and watchmaking prowess.
