Los Angeles-Based Nodus Breaks the Mould with its Affordable, High-Quality Titanium Sector II Field Watch

Published: 02 Jun 2025
Bucking the trend of expensive, premium titanium timepieces, LA–based brand Nodus introduces their Sector II Field Titanium watch, an affordable luxury option.

Often associated with elite status, titanium is predominantly used in the premium offerings of several watchmaking labels. This trend, however, has been shattered by the innovative watchmakers at Nodus, a brand based out of Los Angeles that has chosen their entry-level Sector collection for the launch of their début titanium alloy watch. The refreshing new addition, Nodus Sector II Field Titanium, emerges as a beautifully reincarnated field watch that takes a cue from the updated proportions showcased in the preceding Sector II series. Born in 2019, the Nodus Sector collection is known for its vast variety of models that all have one common denominator – a distinguishing middle case. Each watch brings its own perspective to the table, from the elegant Sector GMT to the indestructible Sector Deep, rated for remarkable depths of 500 meters. In keeping with the time, the second-generation Sector collection went through renovations in 2024, making the watches sleeker and more ergonomic. Crafted from grade 2 titanium, the Nodus Sector II Field Titanium possesses a matte media-blasted finish and a scratch-resistant coating, offering a sublime yet durable aesthetic. The watch measures a comfortable 38mm in diameter and 11.7mm thick, with a 47mm lug-to-lug profile. Acknowledging the practicality, Nodus ensured drilled holes for easy strap adjustments on the second-generation models while the use of titanium kept the watch lightweight. Characteristic large lugs add to the uniqueness of the series. The second-generation watches boast of a modern and sporty look, eliminating the multifaceted inner angles from the structure. Aiming for wearable comfort, Nodus designed the Sector II Field Titanium to cater to different wrist sizes. Introduced stepped bezels add a utilitarian edge to the watch ensuring each model exhibits its own unique character. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with blue anti-reflective treatment fits within the bezel, extending its charm. Despite its slender build, the watch guarantees a noteworthy 100 meters of water resistance. On the whole, the new release from Nodus harmonizes affordability, elite materials, and an updated design.
