Meet Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925: The Graceful GMT Timekeeper Bound to Captivate Watch Enthusiasts

Adding to its intriguing range of timepieces, Omega’s sister brand, Longines, introduces a remarkable GMT timepiece, dubbed the Spirit Zulu Time 1925. It’s presented in a 39 mm x 13.5 mm stainless steel case, flaunting a 46.8 mm lug-to-lug distance. The casing has an exquisite matte surface finish, accompanied by polished elements found on the bracelet center link bevels, the crown, the bezel edges, and the case flanks. To complement the eye-catching case, it is paired with a 21 mm wide, tapered Oyster-style three-link steel bracelet, summing up the watch’s total weight to 158 grams.

A standout feature of the watch is its bi-directional steel bezel adorned with an 18K pink gold cap insert. The 24-hour scale is carefully engraved on this cap. In comparison to gold-plating, a gold cap, being solid gold atop a base metal, leads to superior quality. It also strikes an appealing balance of not being as expensive as full solid gold. To create a harmonious aesthetic, Longines used gilt print on the dial, and gold-plating on hands, applied Arabic numerals, and the signature winged emblem displayed at the 12-hour mark.

The movement inside the watch is an outsourced COSC-certified chronometer from ETA, precisely maintaining time with a slight deviation of -4/+6 seconds per day. It’s an automatic movement running at 3.5Hz and features a silicon balance spring and a gold-plated oscillating weight. This remarkable movement comes with a generous 72-hour power reserve and displays hour, minute, center seconds, date, and the marquee 24-hour GMT hand.

The Spirit Zulu Time 1925 seals the Longines legacy with its slightly domed sapphire crystal, clear caseback secured by six screws, and water-resistance rated to a depth of 100 meters.
