AVI-8 Honors the Legacy of Tuskegee Airmen with P-51 Mustang Patriot Automatic Limited-Edition Watch

Drawing on its affinity for aviation-inspired timepieces, AVI-8 releases a watch commemorating one of the most significant chapters in American aviation history - the Tuskegee Airmen. The P-51 Mustang Patriot Automatic Tuskegee Airmen 85th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates 85 years since the activation of the U.S. War Department’s 99th Pursuit Squadron, the first all-Black military aviation unit in U.S. history.

The design takes inspiration from the P-51 Mustang aircraft flown by the Tuskegee Airmen. A 43mm stainless steel case encapsulates a matte-black dial furnished with aviation-style numerals and markings. Swiss Super-LumiNova ensures legibility in low light, making it suitable for daily wear. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, underscoring the watch’s rugged, ready-for-action character. The watch comes with a black leather strap, elevating the utilitarian aura of military aviation watches.
