Citizen Fascinates With Intriguing New Tsuyosa Watch, Collaborates with Customizer Romaric André

Citizen introduces an imaginative new timepiece, the result of a stunning collaborative effort with renowned watch customizer, Romaric André, also known as seconde/seconde.

Citizen, one of the most respected names in the watch industry, has joined forces with acclaimed watch customizer, Romaric André, otherwise known as seconde/seconde. The duo has masterminded the creation of an eye-catching new timepiece sure to bring a fresh wave of attention to Citizen’s collection. The watch in question, part of Citizen’s Tsuyosa range, is an integrated bracelet, stainless steel watch boasting hours, minutes, seconds, and dates, enclosed within a sleek 40mm by 11.7mm case.

What sets the Tsuyosa apart, however, is its unique aesthetic. The blue sunburst fumé dial is sliced by a pixelated katana in place of the traditional minute hand. This inventive design feature appears to have cut the dial, creating an illusion of rotation at the center of the watch. Adding to this, the indices seem sliced through, furthering the illusion of disruption, while the luminous hands ensure the time remains legible.

This collaboration is a limited edition but not overly so. With a sizable release of 3,600 pieces, the Tsuyosa can make its mark on a considerable number of wrists. The logic behind this limited run is intriguing as well — the 3,600 pieces symbolize the 3,600 seconds in an hour, tying into the theme of dissecting time. Offered at $495, the Tsuyosa is a charming, light-hearted choice for those seeking something a bit distinctive, yet still upholding a commendable standard of fit and finish.
