Owner of The Armoury, Mark Cho, Explores Horological Mastery with Custom 18k Gold Bracelets for Cartier Lovers

Discover The Armoury's Mark Cho journey from coveted watch collection to creating custom solid 18k gold bracelets, specially curated for Cartier collectors.

Mark Cho, the proud owner of The Armoury and Drake’s, undertook an enviable venture into the world of horology when he couldn’t find the perfect match for his Cartier Watch. Bitten by the creativity bug and fuelled by his unfulfilled desire for a multicoloured gold bracelet to accompany his Tank Mosaic tile, Cho embarked on a mission to create his unique bracelet. The dream crystallised with the right circumstances: the ambition, an inspiring encounter with a 1970s Cartier Cintrée, and a fortuitous meeting with a semi-retired goldsmith. Initially meant to produce a limited ten bracelets, the attention garnered on Instagram led him to expand his offerings through The Armoury’s website.

Cho’s creativity shines in his bracelet designs, drawing significantly from horological history, including ‘old Cartier tank bracelets’ and imagery from ’90s Antiquorum Auctions. John Goldberger’s renowned collection further delighted his creative senses.

Cho’s bracelets charity uniqueness with screwed links absent in vintage pieces and an adaptation inspired by historical Cartier examples. These solid 18k gold creations are crafted in seven-link rows designed to complement specific Cartier models and feature solid gold end-links and a butterfly clasp. Available in yellow, rose, or white gold, collectors can also find tri-colour gold bracelets made to match the Mosaic Dial Louis Cartier 2022’s special edition.
