Making time for irreverent design- Citizen collaborates with Seconde/Seconde to bring a fresh twist to iconic Tsuyosa
Cutting through time and design norms, renowned watchmaker Citizen announces an exciting collaboration with world-renowned watch customizer, Romaric André, best known as seconde/seconde/. The unorthodox collaboration, as intriguing as it is appealing, introduces an extraordinary new design to the classic Tsuyosa from Citizen.
The spectacular centerpiece of this collaboration, the Tsuyosa, bears all the hallmarks of a classic Citizen, yet with a playful, avant-garde twist. The standard minute hand is replaced with a pixelated katana that seems to dissect the dial, lending a unique fragmentary, yet coherent look to it. The blue sunburst fumé dial is intricately detailed with the minute hand, cutting through the indices to create an illusion of rotation and movement. Despite the unconventional design, readability hasn’t been compromised, credits to the luminous hands set against the dial’s edge.
