The Iconic Favre Leuba Harpoon Revival Series Expands its Palette with Chic Black and Blue Dials

Favre Leuba, a Swiss brand renowned for its long-standing presence in the watchmaking circuit since 1737, embarked on a pivotal, global re-launch in 2024, orchestrated by its dynamic CEO, Patrik P. Hoffmann. The company has since been vigorously working on infusing new life into timepieces that pay homage to its illustrious history, while simultaneously meeting modern demands for mechanical finesse. All of these have been reasonably priced despite the blend of history and contemporary design. The Harpoon Revival, released earlier this year with a sophisticated grey dial, is one of their offerings in the midst of bolder collections like the Deep Raider, Chief and Sea Sky. The Harpoon Revival is reportedly expanding its dial palette to include classic black and blue.

New to the Harpoon Revival Series are the black and blue dials, each boasting a sunray-brushed base coupled with a white inner minute track, hinting at an elegant aesthetic reminiscent of a tuxedo. The dials share the minimalist theme with applied horizontal bar markers and a neatly framed date window. The watches feature lumed hands and a stylised logo, inherited from the 1966 model.

Fuelling these timepieces is the brand’s own calibre FLD034, functioning on the reliable mechanism of the automatic La Joux-Perret G100 movement. The powerhouse delivers a potent power reserve of 68 hours, matching pace with its competitors. The new Harpoon Revival watches come with interchangeable black or brown leather straps, marked by the brand’s emblem on the stainless-steel pin buckle. The new editions are priced at CHF 1,800, keeping in line with the original grey model, emphasising the brand’s commitment to affordability. These newly minted models make a fitting addition to Favre Leuba’s permanent collection!
