LVMH Secures Supply by Acquiring Minority Stake in Benchmark Swiss Manufacturer La Joux-Perret

Published: 13 Nov 2025
LVMH's Watches Division has now become part-owner of Swiss watch movement maker, La Joux-Perret, fortifying their supply chain and enhancing production capabilities.

LVMH’s Watch Division has strategically expanded by securing a minority stake in the esteemed Swiss watch movement manufacturer, La Joux-Perret. This move not only ensures a steadfast supply of high-precision movements for LVMH’s signature brands like TAG Heuer, Hublot and Zenith, but also further deepens an already productive commercial partnership. Aligning closer to La Joux-Perret, which has been a significant collaborator with TAG Heuer since 2022, helps amplify innovative capabilities across all LVMH watchmaking houses, especially in the realm of solar-powered movements. This move mirrors a broader trend within major watch firms, such as Hermès and Chanel, seeking to consolidate production and obtain key technical skills. Nevertheless, the majority ownership of La Joux-Perret resides with the Citizen Group, ensuring its autonomy to serve their other clients. La Joux-Perret’s reputation as a respected Swiss watchmaking subcontractor, employing around 140 professionals in La Chaux-de-Fonds, stays intact. They specialize in crafting high-quality mechanical movements, complications, and meticulous solar quartz calibers, handling the entire value chain from innovation to production and assembly. LVMH’s vast universe of watch and jewelry brands benefits from the contribution of La Joux-Perret. TAG Heuer, notable for sporty chronographs and motorsports associations; Hublot, merging traditional watchmaking with innovative materials; Zenith, acclaimed for its ‘El Primero’ movement; Bulgari, typifying Italian design elegance; Louis Vuitton, Louis Vuitton, developing high-end watches in its La Fabrique du Temps facility; Tiffany & Co., an American jewelry brand with an illustrious history in watchmaking, as well as brands like Daniel Roth, Gérald Genta, Dior, Chaumet, and Fred, can all now leverage the manufacturing excellence of La Joux-Perret.
